Telecare and Orange Adult Mental Health Services (TAO AMHS) is a community-based service for individuals with serious mental illness. It is similar in structure to an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program, one of the most well researched, proven models for supporting people to live successfully in the community while regaining hope, dreams and valued life roles.
In this fulfilling role, you will provide culturally competent and client centered coaching, counseling, mentoring, instruction, training, feedback and positive reinforcement in areas such as financial management, housing, health, employment and relationships. You will make every effort to empower individuals to improve their quality of everyday life. We are looking for candidates with knowledge and experience in the mental health field. Background in ACT programs, forensics, vocational training, housing, or dual diagnoses services preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Outpatient clinic or community mental health service with 2 years of direct clinical service is preferred
• One year supervisory experience with strong leadership skills is also preferred
• Experience in providing intensive case management, intensive community supports using psychiatric rehabilitation concepts is highly desirable
• A MSW, MA, MFTI, RN or Registered Psychologist is preferred
• Experience may be substituted for education in the following manner: A.A. degree and 6 years experience, a B.A./B.S. and 4 years experience
• Sensitivity to multi-cultural populations and issues is required
• Basic computer skills are required
• A valid California driver’s license, a MVR clearance for insurability, a vehicle (approved for safety), and proof of insurance is required
• Applicant must be fingerprinted and receive clearance from the Department of Justice and the Office of Inspector General
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and receive a motor vehicle record clearance
